Violin Playing: Riding a Bicycle Backwards: 37.56 miles. During 1987, Christian Patzig of Germany rode a bicycle backwards whilst playing the violin for a distance of 37.56 miles in a time of 5 hours, 8 minutes. During the record attempt, Christian experienced no problems, however during a practise session this was not the case. He ran over a policeman! BOAR
